Tragic Collision in Odessa Claims Life of Teenager, Injures Two Others

On 9-11-24 at approximately 5:28pm, Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to a major crash at Yukon and Andrews Highway.
Investigation revealed that a Gray 2007 Pontiac was traveling West on Yukon and a White 2017 Ford F-350 was traveling East on Yukon. The driver of the Pontiac, a juvenile, failed to yield right of way and turned south in front of the F-350 causing a collision. During the crash, a Gray 2019 Honda that was merging onto Yukon from Andrews highway was struck.
A passenger in the Pontiac, later identified as 17-year-old Fabian Navarro, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Pontiac was transported to MCH with minor injuries, The driver of the F-350 was transported to MCH with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
Next of kin have been notified and the investigation continues.
