TxDOT: MAIN STREET BRIDGE PROJECT TO START ON AUG. 19

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The Texas Department of Transportation will begin the reconstruction of existing bridge class culverts and adjacent roadways and intersections along Scharbauer Draw on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024.

TxDOT reports roadway closures include Main Street at Scharbauer Draw and Scharbauer Drive from Lamesa Street to Carver Street. The project is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2025.

The City of Midland recommends using the Lamesa Road bridge at Scharbauer Draw as an alternative route to Main Street.
